African Alliance launch their website

When the African Alliance team decided that they needed to update their online presence, they entrusted Virtuosa with the task to design a site fitting of their business with current online trends in mind. 

  • What did you want to achieve with the African Alliance website?
    As a Pan-African Investment Bank we were looking to achieve two main objectives: firstly to develop a worldclass website which we could benchmark against the top financial services providers in the world for the purposes of serving our existing and potential client base, and secondly as an initial step in developing our brand positioning online.
  • Did the website meet your expectations in terms of design and functionality?
    Whilst we entered this project with a clear specification of what we wanted in terms of design and functionality, we found that leveraging off the experience of Virtuosa meant that we took our initial expectations to a much higher level during the course of the project and which Virtuosa ultimately delivered on.
  • What other media and supporting media have you  used to drive traffic to the site?
    We are currently only embracing a select few online business networking sites, however we are planning on expanding our online presence once we have had sufficient time to take stock of our new website for which we plan engaging Virtuosa again to leverage off their experience in the online space. We are also using traditional above the line media to attract traffic to our new site.
  • Thus far, what are your impressions of the overall results achieved of the site. Are they as per your expectations? Increased traffic, global visibility etc?
    As a Group we are extremely satisfied with the new website and its impact from a business and branding perspective. We are making use of analytics to track traffic and use fo our website, which is extremely beneficial in identifying and executing our online strategy going forward. 
  • Any other feedback from internal stakeholders and any news or feedback from the industry in terms of what was achieved with the new site?
    General staff feedback has been outstanding, and has highlighted to us the benefit that can be gained from a corporate culture perspective by having world class online presence. Obviously as we roll this presence out more we expect to see a corresponding increase in employee satisfaction. Our external stakeholders have embraced our new website as well, wherein we are realising more traffic which is translating into contact with potential clients.
